Nurturing a world fueled by nature’s energy
Born with a vision to transform the Indian energy landscape, HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) was formed in 2007 through a prestigious collaboration between Fortune 500 company Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Mittal Energy Investments Pte. Ltd. We aspire to enrich everyday lives and bring happiness to countless individuals through diversified products, ranging from essential fuels and petrochemicals to high-quality polymers. Our journey took a significant leap forward with the commissioning of the Guru Gobind Singh Refinery in 2012 in Bathinda, one of India’s most energy-efficient refineries. Since then, HMEL has emerged as a visionary architect of a brighter future, leading the way with innovation and advanced materials to create a lasting positive impact that resonates for generations to come.
We are a young, dynamic, and forward-thinking organisation with a mission to empower businesses and people by shaping the future of energy. Our goal is to drive progress through our world-class fuels and petrochemical products in a safe and sustainable manner.
We use natural resources and cutting-edge technology to meet the energy demands of today and tomorrow. From producing high-quality petroleum products to creating polymers vital for critical growth industries, we move beyond conventions with a focus on solar and renewable energy to reduce our carbon footprint.
At HMEL, we believe that progress and purpose should go hand in hand for a responsible, positive change. Every decision we make embodies our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and safety, ensuring that each step forward is taken with care for both the planet and its people.
