The \u2018India Status Report on Road Safety 2024\u2019 indicates slow progress in reducing fatalities, highlighting the urgent need for effective awareness. Reiterating its commitment to Safety, HMEL conducted Road Safety Week from January 13-21, 2025. The week featured various activities, including a three-day Integrated Safety Training Programme for truck crew members on accident prevention and safe driving practices. Retd. Colonel R.K. Sharma conducted sessions on defensive driving techniques, while the Speakers from Brahmakumaris, Raman Center, provided insights on stress management and meditation to promote a healthier and stress-free lifestyle. Many awareness activities like road safety briefings, interactive quizzes, badge distributions, and expert sessions were conducted. A key highlight included the \u2018Be a Road Safety Hero\u2019 event, featuring a skit with mythological characters, and engaging initiatives like the Click &amp; Win Contest and Forklift Training.
