ABOUT THE LABEL: VVANI BY VANI VATS
Vvani by Vani Vats is an Indian ethnic women’s wear label launched in January 2015. The young designer believes that clothing is an essential element in expressing one’s identity hence she offers fashion that is classic, eternal and distinctive. The label Vvani by Vani Vats is a depiction of the royal Indian handcraft where she intermingles archaic Indian embroideries and techniques in unconventional designs.
The brand ‘Vvani by Vani Vats’ started with a dream of making every Indian woman feel beautiful and strong. Vani takes pride in enhancing the style of a woman by adding handcrafted beauty to each product. The vibrant boutique can be considered as the mecca of ethnic wear as every design exudes the rich, legal heritage of India. Her ensembles are an amalgamation of intricate aari and zardoziembroideries. Keeping the varied culture of India in mind, Vani designs creations which can be supported by brides from every region of India. On one hand she has Vvani by Vani Vats Lehengas in bright hues of yellow and mustard for our Rajput brides while on the other hand she has lehengas in mint green or emerald green for our Islamic bride.
The label houses a wide range of silhouettes like Sarees, lehengaSarees, Straight Churidaar, Pallazo Sets, floorlength anarkalis, Vvani lehenga etc.
COLLECTION NOTE
The maiden collection of the brand Vvani by Vani Vats is inspired by various old hand embroidery techniques of zardozi and aari, intricate geometric patterns, Islamic tessellation architecture and anything beautiful around her. Vani has employed the playful chemistry of old techniques of surface texturing using new materials and innovative designs. The opulent designs by Vani look delicate and feminine along with a strong style statement. The collection is a perfect blend of Indian traditional techniques with modern styling to keep the essence intact.
The collection of the brand is elegant, feminine yet impactful. Even the simplest of silhouette makes one feel special due to the addition of intricate detailing in each product. Simple straight shapes, Long lengths and addition of huge flairs have also been used dynamically.
COLOUR PALETTE
Keeping in mind the upcoming festive season, Vvani has kept pastel shades in the color scheme of her vivacious collection. To create a statement piece for the brides to be she has kept bright and innovative color combinations like combining, mint with fuchsia pink.
ABOUT VANI VATS
Vani Vats has studied BA Hons in Fashion Designing from Pearl Academy of Fashion. Since childhood, Vani was creatively inclined towards different kinds of hand embroideries, handicrafts and architecture. Indian culture has always intrigued and inspired Vani hence she uses the craftsmanship in her work.
Post her college, she interned under Shantanu and Nikhil and for almost two years, she worked with ace designer Manish Arora Post her stint with these renowned designers, Vani had gathered enough knowledge of silhouettes, colors, embroidery and traditional techniques. After honing her inherent designing skills, Vani came up with her own clothing line by the name of Vvani by Vani Vats.
